I have been considering blogging about this house renovation for a while. It started a couple of months ago when my boyfriend started looking for houses. He had just moved back to his hometown and I was finishing up my contract on my job so I could move down there as well. Through most of the house shopping process the only interaction I had was looking up places online and photos he would take while he was looking at houses. He had a pretty small area of town he would consider moving into- which meant all the houses were old. And not old like plantation style dream houses, but 1950's houses with bad tile. Luckily, I love painting and looking around blogs for ideas for home renovation. I had preparing myself for spending a lot of time working on getting the house ready for move in.
And then it happened- I had seen this historic house that was in budget. Now, let me point out- I am not living there and I am not paying for it. So my opinions are just that...opinions. The house I liked did not have a garage- let alone the two car garage that my boyfriend really wanted. So, he found a house he loved, and by loved I mean it had great bones, was a great price, and had a two car garage.
So, what did the house look like- lucky for you I have pictures before we started any work on the house. I considered posting tons of before pictures now, but instead, I am going to post them so you can see the progress as we go along.
